Luciana Fina

 
   
 

She was born in the South of Italy, in Bari, and has worked in Lisbon since 1991.
Graduated in Portuguese and French Literature, she worked several years as an indipendent film curator, in Italy and Portugal. She worked with Cinemateca Portuguesa and many Portuguese cultural institutions. In 1998 she directed her first documentary film. Employing diverse languages and media, she works extensively between cinema, graphic and visual arts, focusing on themes related to nomadism, migration and interculturalism, as well around the relationship between images and the performing arts.
She is currently working on the project ‘Time for a portrait’ a gallery of portraits in motion, and preparing a new documentary.
