Ivo Marques Ferreira was born on the post revolution, in 1975. In Lisbon he starts his technical and artistic education and, on the way to China, he made stop over at the LIFS and at the Budapest University. At 18 years old he put up a small production company in Macao. The World Exhibition EXPO98 invites him to direct a short film and since then he maintains his activity as a filmmaker. A scholarship from the Gulbenkian Foundation takes him to a Scrip Writing Course in 2006 (London International Film School). He worked as photographer, d.o.p., producer, actor, stage director and light designer. His latest film “Águas Mil” had its World Premiere at the Rotterdam International Film Festival – Official Selection and ”Vai com o Vento” a documentary made in China got the award for the best documentary in Spain at Cáceres International film Festival.
