André Carrilho

André Carrilho was born on July 26 1974 in Lisbon, Portugal. Since 1992 he has worked as a professional designer, illustrator, cartoonist, animator and caricature artist, collaborating with some of the most important Portuguese newspapers and magazines. He has won several national and international prizes and has shown his work in group and solo exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, France and USA. In 2002 he was awarded the Gold Award for Illustrator's Portfolio by the Society for News Design (USA). His most recent assignments include illustrations for the New York Times, Harper's, The Independent on Sunday and Vanity Fair. With Nuno Correia he is Video Jack, that with Coden, contemporary music / performers / Vjing artists, perform regularly at Lux club (Lisbon) and have been selected to perform at several international festivals. Dinner in Lisbon is his first film.

José Miguel Ribeiro

José Miguel Ribeiro was born in 1966 in Amadora, Portugal. He graduated with a degree in Plastic Arts - Painting from ESBAL (Art University of Lisbon) and studied drawing and puppets animation in Lazzenec-Bretagne / Rennes and in Filmógrafo / Oporto in 1993/4. During several years he taught puppets animation in Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon. He was animator of "Os Salteadores" directed by Abi Feijó (special pryze of Cartoon D'Or 94) and some other portuguese films and pilots. He was co-director of "O Ovo / The Egg", which won several international awards; he directed short animations for portuguese version of Sesam's Street and in 1996 won, for the first time, an award in Cinanima/Portugal with "O Banquete da Rainha". Between 1997 and 1999, produced by Luís da Matta Almeida/Zeppelin Filmes, he directed "A Suspeita / The Suspect", film awarded with Cartoon D'Or 2000 and more 25 international awards. In 1999 he directed two short animation films: "Cinanima 99 spot" and "Timor Loro Sae". In the year 2000 José Miguel was invited to direct the spot for Lisbon Illustration Meeting and two corporate films about the European day without cars in the city of Almada. During 2001 and 2002 he directed in claymation the child series "As Coisas Lá de Casa / Home Things" (26x2'30'') which has had an excellent reception by the international market, has won several awards and has received several prestigious invitations. In last 6 months of 2003 he was dedicated to creat and to direct a short film based in a theme from a Portuguese genial music player and composer named Carlos Paredes. He is starting the preparation of next project, "Sunday Walk", a 10 minutes puppets and claymation film. Marc Riba and Anna Solanas have studied in the “Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC)”, having completed the degree in 2001. The final project for their graduation was the short film animation "El negre art el color dels Déus", which was selected for more than 70 festivals and won the Goya Prize. In 2003 they directed "El molí paperer", a short film animation curated by the "Museo Municipal de la Ciudad de Montcada", the decisive step for their entry in the world of animation. Filmography: "Lupe y Bruno" (2005), "The sixth senses" (2005), "Violeta, la pescadora del mar Black" (2006) and "El monstre d'en Pol" (2007 ). Currently they are running their fourth film in 35 mm, "Otto y Lola."

Nuno Beato was born in 1977. He decided to open the producer LAMPADACESA in 1998, after having worked with other producers. His career in the Animation Cinema has been in continuous growth. He likes to experiment new techniques and explore different materials.

Pedro Teixeira

Born in 1974. Has the Master degree in Multimedia Art by the Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto. He was an Erasmus grantee at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Paris, where he had as a tutor Jordan Crandall, editor of Archive. In 1999 he joined the producer "Miragem", where he developed and was involved in television projects such as "Major Alvega", "Batatoon", "Mix Max," "As Estrelinhas", etc.. In 2002 founded the producer "Animago", where besides socio manager, exercises the functions of Creative Director in projects related to multimedia and audiovisual, especially related to the illustration, animation, digital 2D/3D, composition and post-production. Directed multiple works such as the video clips of Mind da Gap, Blind Zero, Boss AC, Doce, etc. and several television spots and graphics, such as “A minha sogra é uma Bruxa”, "Superbatatatoon", "Top Buracos" "Camilo em Sarilhos", etc.. In 2006 directs the first Portuguese short film animation entirely designed in 3D technology with the support of ICAM (Institute of Cinema, Audiovisual and Multimedia). Today he is starting the direction of the animation serie “As máquinas de Maria”, by Marta Madureira and with support from ICA. He is also a teacher in the ESAP (Escola Superior Artística do Porto) and IPCA (Instituto Politécnico do Cávado e Ave).
